Draft Georgia 2010 305(b)/303(d) List Documents *NEW* - February 17, 2010

The Georgia 2010 305(b)/303(d) draft list of waters was prepared in accordance with Sections 305(b) and 303(d) of the Federal Clean Water Act and guidance from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Written Comments on the draft list are welcome. To ensure their consideration, written comments should be received before 4:30 p.m. March 19, 2010. Information regarding where to send written comments is included in the “Public Notice” link below.

Public Meeting Scheduled *Updated February 23, 2010* EPD has scheduled a meeting to answer questions from the public regarding the draft 2010 305(b)/303(d) list of waters and to receive comments. The meeting is to be held at the following time and location: March 9, 2008 (6:00 – 7:30 pm) Environmental Protection Division Training Center, Atlanta Tradeport, 4244 International Parkway, Suite 114 Atlanta, Georgia 30354 (Clayton County) Inclement Weather: If inclement weather (i.e. snow/ice) occurs on the day within the geographic region where the public meeting is scheduled, EPD may cancel the meeting. Since it would be difficult for EPD to provide a timely notice of a meeting cancellation, the public is advised to pay attention to any public school closings. If public school systems are closed in the County where the meeting is to be held, then EPD will not hold the meeting as scheduled.

Georgia’s 2008 Integrated 305(b)/303(d) Report (also referred to as Water Quality in Georgia 2006-2007)

The following report contains a comprehensive evaluation of Georgia's surface water quality as required by Section 305(b) and 303(d) of the Clean Water Act. The links for the 305(b)/303(d) list of waters found in Appendix A have been separated below for quicker viewing.  All documents are in .pdf format.

Please note that a number of formatting changes have been made to the 2008 list. A summary of the formatting changes is provided in the attached document labeled “Summary of Formatting Changes to the 2008 List of Waters”. It is recommended that the reader review this document before viewing the tables of assessed waters.
